Last week PEP exhibited at a Third Sector Careers Day’ at Edinburgh College’s Sighthill Campus.

The event ‘Inspiring Young Minds for a Career in the Third Sector’ was expertly organised by Edinburgh College, Cyrenians, EVOC and Developing the Young Workforce. It brought together a variety of Third Sector Organisations from across Edinburgh to allow them to promote job and volunteering opportunities to the students at the college.

Elaine and Theodora went along and spoke to lots of interested students about the different volunteering opportunities available; and we were able to promote a few other services on the way. We’d like to thank everyone who helped to make the day a success.

Ryan and Eilidh, our LOOPS Community Navigators have also been out and about across North West Edinburgh, promoting Local Opportunities for Older People.

They can be found at different pop-up information stations across the area, but every month they regularly visit:
Blackhall Library 10am – 12noon (1st Monday of every month);
Stockbridge Library 1pm - 3pm (1st Monday of every month);
Kirkliston Library 10am – 12noon (2nd Friday or every month);
Drumbrae Library 10 - 12noon (2nd Monday of every month);

Come along, say hello and find out what is going on in your area for older people.
