Week two included a visit to Peebles, the second of four craft classes and a trip on Ratho Barge
The weather for Peebles wasn’t promising, but it didn’t stop a group from heading to the historic and picturesque borders town. The rain stayed off for the day and allowed time for everyone to browse around the charity shops and admire the historic churches.
The next instalment of the popular craft class continued with the decoupage theme. Whilst some finished off their trinket boxes, others were able to decorate chunky photo-frames. Final designs included geometric patterns and flowers with some button and bead motifs for the final touches!
The last trip of the week was a lovely relaxing cruise on the canal from Ratho. It was a nice sunny day allowing some to sit up front for the best view of the swans on the canal. There were also gifts available to buy and a delicious packed lunch. When it was time for the barges to turn around, it gave everyone a chance to have a chat across the water between the barges.
It was a great day out; and our thanks as always goes to the Seagull Trust.
