PEP’s end of year party at the Queensberry Bowling Club was held this year on the 21st December.
The hall was packed with 69 people coming along for their annual Christmas meal with PEP. They were welcomed in with a drink of bubbly before sitting for the meal with the food expertly prepared by PEP’s dedicated staff and volunteers. They served up the traditional Christmas meal of pate and oatcakes followed by turkey with all the trimmings and a rich chocolate gateau with cream for pudding.
The entertainment was provided by Pat, whose music and song got everyone smiling. As always everyone really enjoyed partying with group singing and dancing right to the end.
The raffle had tonnes of prizes on offer including chocolates and gift sets; some kindly donated by ‘Morrison’s Ferry Road’ and the table decoration poinsettias were an ever popular raffle prize. This year’s star prizes were six food hampers donated by the ‘Cyrenians FareShare’ all with a variety of food and snacks to keep the Christmas cheer going on over the holiday season.
A special thank you must go to Fiona, JJ and Charlotte who worked so hard behind the scenes all afternoon in the kitchen. Thank you to Pat for the music, the Queensberry Bowling Club for hosting us and providing the bar facilities, to the staff and volunteers for making the day happen and to everyone who came along…. ‘Merry Christmas’!
